Akuros pallet shuttle racking system is a high-density semi-automated storage solution for palletized goods. It is designed to improve warehouse capacity by using deep storage lanes and shuttle carts to move pallets inside the rack structure.
In a pallet shuttle system, the forklift places the pallet at the front of the storage lane, and the shuttle cart automatically carries the pallet to the assigned storage position. During retrieval, the shuttle cart brings the pallet back to the lane entrance for forklift pickup. This reduces forklift travel inside the rack and improves both storage density and handling efficiency.
Compared with selective pallet racking, pallet shuttle racking provides much higher space utilization. Compared with drive-in racking, it can reduce forklift impact risk inside the rack and improve operational efficiency. Compared with fully automated storage systems, it offers a more cost-effective path toward semi-automated warehouse operation.
